Crowley Maritime Scholarships!

AVTEC is now accepting applications for

two $2,000 scholarships!

The scholarship is for students who will attend AVTEC's Able-Bodied Mariner Training Program in Seward. Scholarship winners will be able to use the awards for the next AB mariner training program in the fall.

Requirements:

- Must be Alaska Native

- Hold a valid Merchant Mariner Credential OR

- A US Coast Guard License OR

- A Merchant Mariner Document

- Hold a Transportation Worker I.D. Card

- Provide sea-service letters or discharge

Alaskan's who are interested in Crowley Maritime Scholarships, the AB program or other AVTEC training, should contact the AVTEC Admissions Office for more details.

Who Are We?

Kawerak's Youth Employment Program is part of Kawerak's Education, Employment & Training Division. Some of the things we do here at Kawerak Youth Employment are coordinate the Summer Youth Employment Program and Higher Education Internships, conduct workshops in regional communities to inform youth of educational and employment opportunities, and assist in the organization of career fairs in regional communities.

Luisa Machuca is Kawerak's Youth Employment Director. She has Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from UAA.
